Member Training

As a One Utah Service Fellow, you’ll participate in a series of professional development trainings designed to support your success and growth throughout your service term. Each service track includes a tailored set of monthly trainings aligned with your duration of commitment. These experiences are crafted to help you build valuable skills, expand your impact, and prepare for future opportunities.

This page includes a checklist and step-by-step instructions to help you access all required trainings. To keep things streamlined and easy to follow, we’ve organized the information into three key sections:

  1. Pre-Service Training

  2. Training Platform Instructions

  3. Member Training Schedule

Each training is listed alongside where to directly access the listed training, so everything you need is here on the same page.

Part 1: Pre Service training

Before you begin your term of service, and once your offer has been officially accepted, you’ll need to complete your Pre-Service Training. This step is required and must be completed in full before your start date.

Your Required Trainings are as follows;

  • OUSF Orientation – OUSF Staff or Campus Coordinator

  • AmeriCorps 101 for Members – On3Learn

  • AmeriCorps Prohibited, Unallowable, Allowable Activities for Members – On3Learn

  • Email Communication for Members – On3Learn

Part 2: Training platform Instructions

In the dropdown menu below, you’ll find clear instructions for accessing all platforms used in your member development trainings. Please take the time to review each step carefully, these tools are essential to your success in the program.

If you run into any issues or have additional questions, reach out to us at fellowship@OneUtahService.org. We’re here to help, but we expect you to take initiative and use the resources provided.

    1. Go to https://on3learn.digitalchalk.com/auth/login

    2. Click on: Create Account 

      1. Fill in basic information.

      2. Create and confirm password.

      3. Check box to agree to terms of use.

      4. Click "Create."

      5. Enter "One Utah Service Fellowship" next to AmeriCorps program, select, "AmeriCorps Member" for your role, and enter, "Utah" next to state.

      6. Click "Next."

    3. Register for & take your courses:

      1. Once in your dashboard, select the Catalog tab on the left.

      2. Select the assigned course by clicking on the "Add to Cart" button below it.

      3. Click on “Checkout”

      4. Enter your Coupon Code now (UTSUB24) click "Apply" to validate your code.

      5. Once you make sure your coupon code has been applied, click "Submit."

      6. Your courses are now on your dashboard under the Courses tab.

    4. To access your Course Completion Certificate after taking any course, you will go to the Completed Courses Tab on your Dashboard. From there, under every course you’ll see a little medal icon. Click on this icon to get the course completion certificate for downloading and sharing.

    Tips:

    • Use the latest version of Chrome as your internet browser. If you are unable to access Chrome, Firefox is the next best option.

    • You must use the following code when checking out courses so it will not cost you anything – UTSUB24

    • If your code does not work for any reason, please DO NOT PUT IN A CREDIT CARD. Contact info@on3learn.com to solve the issue.

    1. Log onto your USU account at http://learnblue.usu.edu/

    2. Search the catalog for your assigned training.

    If you are having trouble accessing your USU account or do not think you have one contact Fellowship@OneUtahService.org

    1. Go to https://www.nonprofitready.org/

    2. Click "Create My Free Account” and create your account.

    3. Use the search bar to find your assigned training.

    4. Click on the training, and from the info page, click “Request.” Your course will be ready to launch, and can be accessed again from your account profile.

Part 3: Member Training Schedule

In the dropdown menu below, you’ll find a clear schedule of your required trainings, organized by your service term length. Each term is broken down by month, so you’ll know exactly which trainings to complete and when.

We expect you to actively track your progress and complete each training independently. Once you’ve finished a training, please email your completion certificate to your coordinator.

All time spent on completing required trainings should be logged as member development hours.

Important: Failure to stay on track may result in follow-up communication from the One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) team.
