Different Support for Different People, It’s why we are here
I was able to provide my services to many different and diverse people. I helped patients feel comforted and cared for. I sat with them and discussed their health and how it can improve. I remember sitting with a patient and discussing the options she had with her health. She began crying. The nurse and I sat there and listened to her. It was hard to see someone struggle this much. That's why we were there. We also sat and discussed some hard things the patient was going through. This really helped me understand the therapeutic role that nurses play in the patient's lives. The nurse is there in the patient's hardest moments. It's important to be therapeutic and change personally how to approach each patient because everyone is different and has different needs.
